Well hello there...may I be the last to wish you "Happy Thanksgiving, Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and Happy Valentines' Day." And please, let me be the first to assure you that my
extended absence from the blogging world is simply due to the fact that I'm living happily ever after with my Prince Charming.
Well, pretty much.
My husband of 4-1/2 months is far more than just charming.
We're far more than just "happy" together.
We
are Ever After together.
Life is of course, far from perfect. We live in a sinful world, and we expect
and experience challenges and trials because of that. We have our hard days, and have had occasion to apologize to each other more than once. We're figuring out how our new little family should interact with and love our extended families and our friends-sometimes not very successfully. We've been figuring out how to be wise with the resources God has given us young newlyweds: and sometimes we forget how blessed we are and feel like our resources are few and far between. I miss my family and friends (even the family dogs!) and sometimes I feel like I need a translator to understand the lovely New England accents around me!

But God is so good, and He has absolutely showered us with blessings. You know how people say "the first year of marriage is so hard"? It doesn't have to be. Not even for two strong-willed, stubborn people! The Gospel permeates and changes every area of life, not the least of it marriage, making it possible, even a joy to lay down expectations, adapt to a spouse's preferences, and speak lovingly to one another even when living together in a more vulnerable and intimate way than we've ever experienced before.
We have so very, very much to learn and to grow together: but we thank God for where we are today.
