As Anna brings her first into the world, I am grateful all over again that Anna is even alive. I'm so thankful to her birthmother for choosing life for Anna. I'm going to go out on a politically incorrect limb here and say abortion is a woman's choice: a choice between life or death for her living, breathing, fully human child. I know that is not a popular thing to say, but it seems self-evident to me that the little miracle who has a functioning beating heart 18 days after conception and who responds to pain as early as 8 weeks is not "a mass of tissue." All that to say, I'm so very very grateful for my best friend-sister, and also for the dear little girl working her way into the world right now.
If you would, Anna would appreciate prayers that the process would go smoothly and quickly!
Anna as a baby. Wasn't she adorable? (Says an unbiased source ;) )
